Transforming a legacy education leader’s business model around a new purpose. 

An old school learning company asked us: How do we evolve our business to maintain our leadership in a rapidly changing landscape for education?

We helped them drive focus and energize their organization by developing an inspiring new purpose to serve as their rallying cry for transformation.  We created a communication strategy that equipped leaders to inspire and align their global workforce.  After a successful roll out, the company now uses the purposes as a filter for key business decisions including for acquisitions and flagship product development.

Creating employee experiences to make purpose real on the ground for a major fashion brand

A household name in fashion asked us: How do we galvanize our people around our shared purpose, so they can reinvigorate this classic brand for a new generation of consumers?

We conducted a deep discovery process to uncover potential advocates and pockets of resistance to the new purpose.  We developed bold actions to get their people’s attention and help them embrace the brand vision. We worked with leaders across the organization to design and prioritize initiatives that enabled teams to activate the purpose for their consumers.

Architecting new innovation systems and capabilities in a global sports apparel business.

A leading sports apparel company had already asked us to develop their purpose, then they came back to us with a challenge: How do we bring this purpose to life in ways that make a meaningful connection with our consumers and create a tangible impact in their lives?

We worked with senior leaders to identify priority activation spaces for their purpose where they could truly lead their competitors. We designed an innovation process and governance model for ideating and developing new purpose-driven initiatives. We created a launch plan and identified key internal roles to help them make it real.

leading non-profit

An 150+ year old, leading nonprofit organization in the U.S. asked us: How can we design a future of work model that honors the diverse needs and activities of our employee base while ensuring we prioritize delivering the most impact? 

Engaging a broad base of employees and leadership, we conducted primary research into the organizational legacy, system, and culture to identify key shifts in the organizational system needed to sustain a fluid, hybrid way of working that balanced wellbeing and impact.

We worked closely with the leadership team to turn those critical inputs into a blueprint for the future of work that balanced the diverse needs and constraints of the staff while enabling them to do their best work and drive impact.

Helping a tech startup redesign teams to achieve rapid scale

A fast growing tech startup approached us with the question: how do we ensure our leadership capabilities, management practices and cross-functional teaming support our accelerated growth?

We conducted an organizational analysis to help them understand the key shifts they needed to make to take the next step in their growth. We worked with them to identify the critical capabilities missing from the team and coached key leadership to strengthen their leadership dynamics. Building from emerging practices in cross-functional teaming, we helped them design their own customized version of the “Spotify Squad Model” that would help them integrate key capabilities, move fast, and deliver exceptional customer service.
